La Procession de l’Évangile – un “ point faible ” de la liturgie ?

Abstract
The article deals with history and character of the Gospel procession, examined in the Western liturgies: Gallic, Hispanic, Ambrosian and Roman. The research question is: Why is there a procession inside the block of readings of the Liturgy of the Word? To answer, we use the methodology of the Comparative Liturgy and mainly the law of the evolution of the liturgy at the “soft points”. We explore to which extent the Gospel procession is a “soft point” and we propose three hypotheses about its origin. Without the definitive answer, we show that this sort of research can lead to the better comprehension of the structure and history of the Eucharistic celebration as such.
Résumé
L’article traite de l’origine et du caractère de la procession avant l’Évangile, examinée dans les liturgies occidentales : gallicane, hispanique, ambrosienne et romaine. La question de recherche posée est : Pourquoi une procession est-elle présente dans le bloc des lectures de la liturgie de la Parole ? Pour y répondre, on utilise la méthodologie de la liturgie comparée et surtout la loi de l’évolution liturgique dans les soft points. On examine dans quelle mesure la procession avant la proclamation de l’Évangile est un “ point faible ” et on propose trois hypothèses sur son origine. Sans donner une réponse définitive, on montre comment notre recherche peut porter vers une meilleure compréhension de la structure et de l’histoire de la célébration eucharistique en tant que telle.
Radek Tichý a étudié la sociologie et la théologie à Prague et la liturgie à l’Institut liturgique de Rome. En 2014, il y a soutenu sa thèse sur la liturgie de la proclamation de l’Évangile dans la messe. Il enseigne la liturgie à la Faculté de théologie de Prague.
