Il 2025 segna il 1700° anniversario del Concilio di Nicea. Questo volume esplora la dinamica tra concili, sinodi e liturgia: le implicazioni dei sinodi sulla lex orandi della Chiesa e come la liturgia celebrata nei sinodi rivela la loro identità ecclesiale, illuminando il fondamento storico e teologico della sinodalità come dimensione costitutiva della Chiesa.

The year 2025 marks the 1700^th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea. This volume explores the dynamic between councils, synods, and liturgy: examining the impact of synods on the Church’s lex orandi and how the liturgy celebrated in synods reveals their ecclesial identity, thereby illuminating the historical and theological foundations of synodality as a constitutive dimension of the Church.

Stefan Geiger is a Benedictine monk of Schäftlarn Abbey (Germany) and professor of Liturgy and Theology at the Faculty of Liturgy and the Faculty of Theology of the Pontificio Ateneo Sant’Anselmo (Rome).

Eusebius Martis è monaco benedettino dell’abbazia di Marmion (USA). Insegna presso il Pontificio Ateneo Sant’Anselmo (Roma) ed era Direttore dell’Istituto Liturgico presso l’University of Saint Mary of the Lake/Mundelein (2004-2015).

Eusebius Martis is a monk of Marmion Abbey. He teaches at the Pontificio Ateneo Sant’Anselmo, Rome. He has held position of Director of the Liturgical Institute at the University of Saint Mary of the Lake/Mundelein Seminary (2004-2015).

Jerônimo Pereira è monaco benedettino dell’abbazia di São Bento de Olinda (Brasile). È docente al Pontificio Istituto Liturgico del Pontificio Ateneo Sant’Anselmo (Roma), all’Istituto di Liturgia Pastorale di Santa Giustina (Padova) e all’Universidade Católica de Pernambuco e di Quixadá (CE), Brasile.
